About Me

My name is Austin St. Mary, and I am enrolled as a student at Western Technical College in
La Crosse, WI, working toward an associate's degree in Web & Software Development.
I chose this program because of my interest in how computer software works and how it is
created. I live on campus in the Western Residence Hall with three roommates. I
graduated from Kee High School in Lansing, IA, where I participated in many extracurricular
activities, including band, choir, speech, and drama.

I have been working for Kwik Trip Inc. as a Guest Service Coworker for over six months.
Before that, I worked as a cook at Jets Café in Waukon, IA, for roughly two years, and as a
busser at Milty's in Lansing, IA, for about nine months.
      
My hobbies include, but are not limited to, listening to music, playing video games,
watching anime, swimming, biking, fishing, playing musical instruments, hanging out with
friends and family, playing card/board games, hiking, sketching, and sightseeing. These
hobbies are what make me who I am.
      
Looking back at my high school activities, I participated a lot in school events. Some
examples include playing trumpet in the band for eight years, being a bass singer in the
choir for four years, and participating in speech and drama for three years each. Some of
my greatest accomplishments in these extracurriculars include receiving the John Philip
Sousa Band Award, one Outstanding Performance Showcase, eight Division I Solo and
Ensemble Awards, two Honor Band participations, three Conference Band participations,
and two Large Group Speech Contest Division I Awards.
